PDX STYLE OFF! Our friends at Colorhouse, the makers of less volatile and extremely gorgeous paint, asked their fave 5 Portland designers to bring their own unique style to their 2017 Color Of The Year – Almost Ripe --and we were honored to be one of them!

Inspiration behind the design
In these cold winter months we’re thinking about ways to refresh our homes with color, print & pattern, and LIFE. An Almost Ripe accent wall is the perfect antidote to winter blues, as is a fresh new house plant in a Radial Vessel, a bold new throw by Happy Habitat (black and white) or Scholten & Baijings for Hay (orange).

We love a clean, simple modern aesthetic–less is more–but minimal must also be comfortable! We love simple pleasures like a cozy rug or handcrafted wall hanging and enjoy having a friendly character around (Bank in the Form of a Pig).

We had a great time nerding out on color with Puji Sherer, President of the company and designer of the brand's beautiful palette. Almost Ripe was a collaboration between her and a Brazilian designer in celebration of the Rio Olympics. Read more about Almost Ripe and Colorhouse here.
