The foundational philosophy of the All Very Goods brand is that representation matters. Black woman-owned and operated, their bandanas are designed, packed, and shipped from the NW quadrant of Washington, DC. Many of the motifs celebrate Black culture. In this design, the black star is at the center of the Adinkra symbol for transformation. Also, when Ghana claimed its independence from Britain in 1957, the new government placed a black star in the center of the country’s new flag in part as a tribute to Marcus Garvey and his goal of pan-African unity.
