Lauren Huie is a ceramic artist first, but continues to expand her artistic practice into new mediums. Painting on ceramic surfaces has inspired Lauren to grow her illustration practice with more works-on-paper, which in turn helps her discover new ideas to bring back into her pottery practice.

The illustration on this washi tape began as an acrylic gouache painting on a wood panel. It was then translated to a stencil for making Lauren's handbuilt mugs. Since then the original painting has been scanned and used to create stickers, and now washi tape - all art inspires more art!
