Each piece by Tamara Tashna Downes is a tribute to her Afro-Caribbean heritage and often draws inspiration from the natural world. "Tabanca" presents a portrait of a Black woman set against a rich, textured blue palette. The deep, watery hues create an ethereal atmosphere, evoking a sense of floating in water or drifting among the clouds.
