Indoor Potting Mix - 4qt
Rosy Soil

This well-draining, nutrient-rich potting mix for indoor plants is carbon negative and earth-positive by using bio-char instead of peat, coco coir, perlite and vermiculite. It boosts soil aeration, optimizes drainage, and enhances nutrient uptake to help houseplants flourish without increasing your carbon footprint.
Details:
- Biochar, the core of this soil mix, enhances the soil’s nutrient and water retention and improves soil porosity (which enables plant roots’ development and prevents root rot).
- Each ton of biochar produced captures three tons of CO2 from the carbon cycle, preventing it from contributing to climate change.
- It’s a natural source of essential plant nutrients, like nitrogen and potassium which reduces the need for chemical fertilizers, which acidify soil and harm soil microbes when used excessively.
- More broadly, composting upcycles organic waste that normally goes to landfills and emits greenhouse gasses.
- Includes root-boosting mycorrhizae (mahy-kuh-rahy-zee) -- houseplant friendly fungi that create a beneficial fungal structure on plant roots which improves your plant’s ability to absorb water and nutrients, allowing them to make the most of our fertile indoor potting soil. Mycorrhizae also release a gum-like substance called glomalin that helps to further lock in moisture and nutrients.
- Rosy Soil's entire supply chain has a net negative carbon footprint.
