Power Colors Zine - Limited EditionNo Business Magazine
This 3-zine collection examines and celebrates the power of color. Color uplifts us emotionally, it energizes us, it communicates, it categorizes, and it divides us. With over a dozen contributors, it explores both color’s visible aesthetic form and it’s invisible cultural implications. Designer Adi Goodrich talks about her color obsession and how she uses it to speak to a wide audience, artist Nicole Won Hee Maloof explores the complicated role color plays in racial identity, and a touching quarantine-time conversation between Amy Jarding and Amanda Smith explores the symbolism of color and boundaries.
Power Colors is the second edition zine created by Angela Zonunpari and Hanna Peterson of No Business Magazine. The project was started in late 2019, and then found itself morphing, as culture-shifting disruptions unfolded over the course of the next several months. The result is an artifact of the year 2020, "packed with the high and low energies of the last year, things we care about, our values and our yearning to learn and dig deeper".
Contributors include Cortney Cassidy, Adi Goodrich Pecknold, Amy Jarding, Liana Jegers, Rick Johns, Lindsey Landaverde, Marsha Mack, Nicole Won Hee Maloof, Angelica Mercado-Ford, Hanna Peterson, Eli Show, Amanda Smith, and Angela Zonunpari.
Includes 3 zines packaged in a laser-cut paper folio. 8.5" x 5.5"
